While Seth was busy hammering away at a bracelet, my daughter began coloring some leftover copper wire with a Sharpie and squishing it up. She held it up and said, "Look, Mommy! I made an earring!" And lo, she had. All I did was create the end loop and stick an ear wire on it. She called these her tiger stripes.Note: She made four pairs of these, one for each of her preschool teachers at the end of the school year and one for herself. One of her teachers almost burst into tears, she was so touched. Since they already knew my daughter from a year of watching her hog the art supplies, it didn't take much to convince them that, yes, she'd made these pretty much all by herself.
